ARAN K1 - K2
In the architecture sees the partition wall as a vertical element both defining the space externally and dividing it internally, we can call a partition wall whatever vertical element that boundaries an environment, as it happens in alpinism where the wall is part of the relief, often a climbing one. Newform Ufficio has chosen to recall through this product Karakorum K1 peak and K2 that, according to Reinhold Messner, is one of the hardest to climb. Similarities with the mountaineering are not yet ended; far more useful than the standard pin is the Friend, a tool made up of rods and springs, the former ones which are found in steel version also in K2 and that enable a simple assembling, without the use of screws onto panels.
Newform Ufficio has chosen to name both the partition and storage wall K2 for the assemblage simplicity. If K2 is the hardest peak to climb, K2 partition wall of Newform Ufficio is the far most simple to assemblage. Its particular feature is the possibility to mix up the panels as a mosaic work without being obliged to horizontally or vertically modular them, therefore having the possibility to differ the type of panels in use. K1 is used to organize and rationalize spaces keeping yet a direct visual contact with the outward. K1 can be integrated with modular boiserie and customized graphics: functionality going hand in hand with the aesthetics.
